![]() ![]() If you cant provide wifi that works then don't give it as an option as it seems to have caused more stress for staff than its worth and people who have families far away relied on this wifi to connect over Christmas. A particular staff member Emma behind reception was exceptionally rude when asked about wifi. Reception staff was hit and miss, we were spoken too like children on several occasions including Christmas day, we did not appreciate this especially when we are spending over budget to have a nice relaxing retreat. As for the staff, there are a lot of volunteers cleaning who are very snappy if you even think about using the facilities when they are cleaning when it best suits them. We understand it is sold as an eco site however feel this is an excuse to provide less or over book the limited resources. In regards to facilities, they are ok, cold showers 80% of the time, and long queues to share with all guests. These facilities need to be better prepared for bigger groups if are booking them. There was only enough room for one couple to cook at once, that is when the huge family had not taken over. It was filthy with barely working stoves and the fridge was gross. ![]() Along with people scaling the sides of vans to get to kitchens and amenities, there is no privacy here! As for the kitchen the main station building was ok, and much better than the kitchen provided for the camping area. The van and camping area is poorly laid out and crammed in with people parking in the van spots who were not staying. As for the rest of this site, very crowded and over rated. The view was definitely the highlight with a nice deck to sit on. On first impressions Solscape seems quirky and relaxing with amazing views from reception. Myself and my partner have spent the Christmas and New Year period at solscape in an unpowered van site. ![]()
